FOCUS was born out of the Student Ministries department of Twin City Baptist Church in 2005.  Matt McCarthy, then the Associate Pastor of Student Ministries, saw the need to expose students to cross-centered preaching that would promote radical Christianity in the lives of students.

Each year the FOCUS Conference focuses on a key aspect of the Christian life:

2005- Christian Atheism

2006- Perseverance

2007- Christ

2008- The Cross

2009- The Glory of God

The 2010 Conference will focus on Kingdom Living.

FOCUS exists to aid local churches in producing disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ who will be radical in their faith and walk.  We accomplish this through the FOCUS Conference that is held on President’s Day weekend of each year and through the FOCUS blog.
